Graduate School - Project Office, Portsmouth School of Architecture

'Graduate School' was a project I worked on in a group of two whilst Interning for the Project Office at the Portsmouth School of Architecture. It was a project that was spread over a couple of months and was developed upon numerous times. It was the last project I worked on for the Project Office before travelling to Pakistan. The project involved re-designing the Universities Graduate School, the space was multi-functional and needed a brand to be created for it. As part of the University the Graduate School was not allowed its own logo and therefore we had to brand it in another way - using colour. Below are the images from the final presentation.

Looking back on the project I wouldn't change anything about it, the idea for the design was perfect for the space. Some of the visuals within the presentation could have been developed though as they look quite rushed.

Eldon Coffee Shop - Project Office, Portsmouth School of Architecture

'Eldon Coffee Shop' was a project I worked on whilst Interning at the Project Office within the Portsmouth School of Architecture. I worked in a group of four, we worked on creating a concept and developing that into a final design before presenting our work to the client.

The main part of our concept was the suspended roof structure, it meant that without using walls we could define the space as separate from the rest of the room. The images below show our final presentation.

Looking back on the project I wouldn't change much about it, the design is perfect for the space that it is intended for although the branding could be improved upon.

Various - Project Office, Portsmouth School of Architecture

'Diocese of Portsmouth' was a project I worked on for the Project Office which involved re-designing the Diocese of Portsmouth's office floor. I worked in a small group, the project was short and very fast paced. It ended with a presentation to the client, below are a few images from that presentation.

'Haslar Hospital Memorial Garden' was a project I worked on for the Project Office which involved designing a Cafe and Workshop space within the gardens of one of the countries Royal Hospitals. I worked in a small group and the project was very fast paced, it ended with a presentation to the client, below is an image of the Plan, Section and Elevation of the space which we designed.

'The Hive' was a project I worked on for the Project Office which involved designing a complimentary piece of furniture for the 'PARCS' range by 'PearsonLloyd' at 'BENE'. They organised the project in a competition style and I came second out of more than sixty participants. Below is the image of my presentation banner.

Free Range Exhibition

'Free Range Exhibition' was an Exhibition at the Truman Brewery in London that I took part in during the summer after graduating from University. The exhibition lasted just under a week but if you include preparation and disassembly then it was more like ten days worth of work. I decided to exhibit a selection of pieces from my Final Major Project, the poster I created is below.

I was really happy with my Canvas poster and really enjoyed the Exhibition. I attended most days and met lots of interesting people and saw lots of really good work.
